entschuldigung--mein deutsch ist nicht gut genug fuer diesen post; antworten in deutsch oder englisch. vielen dank!
I will be presenting a paper on the impact of medieval music on goth, and would like the help of the fan base in order to support my conclusions. I am particularly interested in the appeal of bands like Helium Vola, Qntal, Love is Colder than Death, Corvus Corax, etc.
So, if y'all wanna help out, send me a mail answering any/all of the following questions, or with your own ideas...
1. Why do you like this music?
2. What is the aesthetic appeal?
3. Do you own any cds by 'real' medieval groups (like Sequentia, Ensemble Unicorn, Mala Punica, etc)? If so, which?
4. Assuming you do, do you find 'real' medieval music to be better/worse/about the same in musical quality as 'gothic medieval'?
5. Anything else you can think of relating to impact on postmodern culture, possible reasons for appeal, etc. is appreciated.
Thanks so much!
